God Knows Us Way Before Our Birth

Abortion has been legalised in most parts of the world. In fact, different countries give different definition as to when it is legal to perform abortion. One medical dictonary defines abortion as  expulsion from the uterus of an embryo or fetus before viability i.e. 20 weeks' gestation or 18 weeks after fertilization or fetal weight less than 500 g. I always wonder what is the basis for them to determine as to when it is legal to have abortion. As for me, God has made it clear and has this to say, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:5). There are testimonies of survivors of abortion, for instance, Melissa Ohden who is the founder of Abortion Survivors Network. According to her, just one provider in US performed 327,653 abortions in 2013 to 2014. We may go around feeling very miserable, angry and unproductive. However, Joseph in the Old Testament did not have such feelings but instead he went about doing his best in whatever tasks given to him, knowing that God is in charge and in control. We must flee, or none of us will escape from Absalom. We must leave immediately, or he will move quickly to overtake us and bring ruin on us and put the city to the sword.” To me, as a parent, it is so sad to note that King David got to run for his life from his own son, Absalom. His own son schemed for 40 years (15:7) to topple his own father - could you believe that?
