Day 32: Psalm 12, Proverbs 21:25-27, Acts 12, Nahum 3
Know And Act
And as Peter knocked at the door of the gate, a girl named Rhoda came to answer. When she recognized Peter’s voice, because of her gladness she did not open the gate, but ran in and announced that Peter stood before the gate.
Acts 12:13-14 NKJV
Acts 12 narrated the incident where Peter was arrested and was imprisoned. But the angels came to his rescue and brought him out of prison whereby they went past 2 security guards and one iron gate which opened by itself. Many gathered to pray for Peter's release in John Mark's house. But when Peter was knocking at his house's door, Rhoda recognized his voice but failed to open the gate. At times, we are like that too! The answers are right at our doors. Do we just recognize and know the answers BUT fail to open the door and act upon the answers which our Lord has already given us? Knowing and acting are 2 different things altogether! God can do all things but He will not do certain things when we can.
