Day 150 - Resolve To Revere God
Read: Psalm 119:81-88; Proverbs 2:19-22; Hebrews 3; Joshua 21-22

Hebrews 3
8 Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, In the day of trial in the wilderness,
9 Where your fathers tested Me, tried Me, And saw My works forty years.
10 Therefore I was angry with that generation, And said, 'They always go astray in their heart, And they have not known My ways.'
11 So I swore in My wrath, 'They shall not enter My rest.' "
12 Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God;
13 but exhort one another daily, while it is called "Today," lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
14 For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end,
18 And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who did not obey?
19 So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief

Know that God is a holy God. He could get angry and levied punishment. He was angry with the Israelites when they rebelled against Him and they were in wilderness for 40 years. We knew about the FACT that God was waiting for all of that generation to perish before the next generation could enter the Promise Land. Hence, we need to guard against any unbelief in our hearts. We need to repent and check ourselves so that we will not be hardened by the deceitfulness of sins. Today, being the last day of the year is the best timing for us to do reflection, to repent and to resolve not to sin against God by setting up new habits like Daniel where he resolved  not to defile himself with the royal food and wine and to pray 3x a day (Daniel 1:8; 6:10). Lord, have mercy on us and speak to us and cause us to repent, to revere You by obeying and serving You. Shower upon us grace and enablement through Your Holy Spirit. Amen.
