Day 144 - Teach Me the Way of God
Read: Psalm 119:33-40;Proverbs 2:1-3; Titus 1; Joshua 9-10

Psalm 119
33 Teach me, LORD, the way of your decrees, that I may follow it to the end.
34 Give me understanding, so that I may keep your law and obey it with all my heart.
35 Direct me in the path of your commands, for there I find delight.
36 Turn my heart toward your statutes and not toward selfish gain.
37 Turn my eyes away from worthless things; preserve my life according to your word.
38 Fulfill your promise to your servant, so that you may be feared.
39 Take away the disgrace I dread, for your laws are good.
40 How I long for your precepts! In your righteousness preserve my life.


What a good prayer that this part of the Psalm has taught us! The Psalmist here asked the Lord to teach him God’s Words SO THAT he may obey the Word of God to the end! He asked for understanding SO THAT he may keep the law with all his heart. He asked that God fulfil His promises SO THAT God’s Name be feared. Most of all, he found delight in God’s commands. What a virtue! What a model for us to follow! Dear Lord, help us to long for Your Word and delight ourselves in You just like this Psalmist. Day 69: Psalm 49, Proverbs 25:4-6, 1 Corinthians 5, Genesis 49-50 Do Our Utmost For His Highest Joseph said to them, “Do not be afraid, for am I in the place of God? But as for you, you meant evil against me; but  God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it  is this day, to save many people alive. We may go around feeling very miserable, angry and unproductive. Day 187 - Have Fear of God Read: Psalm 145; Proverbs 6:28-31; Revelation 6; 2 Samuel 15-16 2 Samuel 15 & 16 15:13 A messenger came and told David, “The hearts of the people of Israel are with Absalom.”14 Then David said to all his officials who were with him in Jerusalem, “Come! We must flee, or none of us will escape from Absalom. We must leave immediately, or he will move quickly to overtake us and bring ruin on us and put the city to the sword.” To me, as a parent, it is so sad to note that King David got to run for his life from his own son, Absalom. His own son schemed for 40 years (15:7) to topple his own father - could you believe that?
