Day 143 - Love and Law
Read: Psalm 119:25-32;Proverbs 1:30-33; 2 Tim 4; Joshua 7-8
Joshua 8
30 Now Joshua built an altar to the Lord God of Israel in Mount Ebal,
32 And there, in the presence of the children of Israel, he wrote on the stones a copy of the law of Moses, which he had written.
34 And afterward he read all the words of the law, the blessings and the cursings, according to all that is written in the Book of the Law.
35 There was not a word of all that Moses had commanded which Joshua did not read before all the assembly of Israel, with the women, the little ones, and the strangers who were living among them.
After God has delivered Ai to the Israelites, Joshua built an altar to the Lord God as a sign of thanksgiving and worship to God. Subsequently, he wrote the law of Moses and read ALL of what Moses had written. This is noteworthy to show the importance of God’s law which is our Bible today. We must continually read His Words so that we are prepared for Kingdom’s living in Heaven. Thank God that His Words are so easily available for us to study, to meditate and to memorise. Let us follow the example of Joshua NOT to leave unread even A WORD OF ALL that God has written in the Bible. If we say we love someOne, we will be very willing to OBEY every word that someOne has said. Hence, LOVE AND LAW is not contradictory but complementary to each other. #devotion #Bible #KingdomLiving #heaven #Love #Law #Rule https://twitter.com/EstherOngHC
