Day 105 : Serve God with joy and fear of the Lord
Read: Psalm 85; Proverbs 29:4-6; Galatians 1; Numbers 3-4
Numbers 4
Aaron and his sons shall go in and appoint each of them to his service and his task. 20 But they shall not go in to watch while the holy things are being covered, lest they die.”
31 And this is what they must carry as all their service for the tabernacle of meeting: the boards of the tabernacle, its bars, its pillars, its sockets, 32 and the pillars around the court with their sockets, pegs, and cords, with all their furnishings and all their service; and you shall assign to each man by name the items he must carry.
49 According to the commandment of the Lord they were numbered by the hand of Moses, each according to his service and according to his task; thus were they numbered by him, as the Lord commanded Moses.
From the above few verses, we can glean that God is systematic. He organises everything in an orderly manner. He is detailed as well. Even tasks and items that needed to be carried are named in accordance to the persons who will carry the same. God gives clear instructions. God numbers them in order to know the actual status in hand. At the same time, we must approach the tasks and His service with a sense of awe and with an attitude of fearing God as He is holy. Above all, count it a joy and a privilege to serve our King of kings and the Lord of lords. Let us serve Him with gladness and thanksgiving in our hearts. All glory to Him. #devotion #servegod #lovegod #systematic #privilege https://twitter.com/EstherOngHC
