Day 103 - Pray For Wise Friends
Read: Psalm 84;  Proverbs 29:1-3; Ephesians 5; Numbers 1-2

“Whoever loves wisdom makes his father rejoice, But a companion of harlots wastes his wealth.”

From just this one verse, we can learn that to have wisdom is TO BRING JOY TO PARENTS! It means to make our parents happy and rejoice over us. Hence, wherever our journey of life is, we must work hard to make our parents proud of us. So, if there is a friend who distract us from honoring our parents, it is like joining the company of prostitutes whose sole purpose is to make money for their own purposes. Take heed with whom we make friends and go out with. The world is full of wolves that come in sheep skin or devils that disguise themselves like angels. Day 69: Psalm 49, Proverbs 25:4-6, 1 Corinthians 5, Genesis 49-50 Do Our Utmost For His Highest Joseph said to them, “Do not be afraid, for am I in the place of God? We must flee, or none of us will escape from Absalom. We must leave immediately, or he will move quickly to overtake us and bring ruin on us and put the city to the sword.” To me, as a parent, it is so sad to note that King David got to run for his life from his own son, Absalom. His own son schemed for 40 years (15:7) to topple his own father - could you believe that?
