Day 104 - God Will Provide A Way
Read: Psalm 84; Proverbs 29:1-3; Ephesians 5; Numbers 1-2

“The Levites, however, are to set up their tents around the tabernacle of the covenant law so that my wrath will not fall on the Israelite community. The Levites are to be responsible for the care of the tabernacle of the covenant law.” The Israelites did all this just as the Lord commanded Moses.”

Do take heed of God's wrath. It means that hell is real. Punishment is real. Do not take God for granted. He is full of righteousness and justice and hence it is His nature to right a wrong and to see the wrongs are punished. However, as seen from the passage, God provided a way out. The Levites were to set up their tents around the tabernacle of the covenant law so that His wrath would not fall on the Israelite community. To set up their tents around the covenant law means to put God's Word in the centre of our lives.
Dear Lord, please have mercy. May You not be angry with us but help us to put You first and to centre our lives in Your Word. We may be weak but Lord, You are strong. As we seek for Your help. we trust without doubt that You will enable and empower us to do right. Thank You Lord. We must leave immediately, or he will move quickly to overtake us and bring ruin on us and put the city to the sword.” To me, as a parent, it is so sad to note that King David got to run for his life from his own son, Absalom.
