Day 42: Submit to Jesus
At that time Jesus answered and said, “I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and have revealed them to babes. Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight. All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him. Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

Whenever we are tired, it will be good and refreshing when we are offered to rest. Our dear Lord Jesus offered such rest to us who are heavy laden with demands of life. But, take note that Jesus laid down two conditions, namely that we must take His yoke and learn from Him. Basically, taking His yoke means that we must submit ourselves to Him. We are to come under His lordship and to learn from Him. It is difficult but becomes easy because He Himself will help us and He has given us the Bible which contains all His teachings and we are to come to His feet as often as we can to learn from Him and to humbly come into His presence daily to pray for empowerment to submit to His Lordship.
