Pray Like Never Before

Just over a few days, much has happenned to our beloved nation. As Christians, the least we must do is to pray. In Ezra 6:21-7:28, we read of how the Lord turned the heart of the king of Assyria toward them, to strengthen their hands in the work of the house of God, the God of Israel. The king of Assyria granted Ezra all his request, according to the hand of the Lord his God upon him. For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the Law of the Lord , and to do it, and to teach statutes and ordinances in Israel. The Assyrian king further wrote a letter to Ezra and mentioned that "whatever is commanded by the God of heaven, let it diligently be done for the house of the God of heaven. For why should there be wrath against the realm of the king and his sons?" Let us pray that God will put such  a  thing as this in our king’s heart and to extend mercy to Malaysia. We may go around feeling very miserable, angry and unproductive. Day 187 - Have Fear of God Read: Psalm 145; Proverbs 6:28-31; Revelation 6; 2 Samuel 15-16 2 Samuel 15 & 16 15:13 A messenger came and told David, “The hearts of the people of Israel are with Absalom.”14 Then David said to all his officials who were with him in Jerusalem, “Come! We must flee, or none of us will escape from Absalom. We must leave immediately, or he will move quickly to overtake us and bring ruin on us and put the city to the sword.” To me, as a parent, it is so sad to note that King David got to run for his life from his own son, Absalom. His own son schemed for 40 years (15:7) to topple his own father - could you believe that?
