Our Lord Is Able to Give MORE

The tendency not to waste resources is good BUT not when God asked us to do otherwise. When God instructs, we better obey! In 2 Chronicles 25:6-11, we read of an account of how King Amaziah spent 100 talents of silver to hire 100,000 mighty men of valor from Israel for a war. However, God specifically instructed King Amaziah not to allow the army of Israel to go with him. The King was arguing that the 100 talents would go to waste. But God replied, “The Lord is able to give you much more than this.” So Amaziah discharged the troops that had come to him from Ephraim, to go back home. Yes, our God is ABLE TO GIVE more than we can think of. We can never outgive God. Trust God and know that  our Lord is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. We must flee, or none of us will escape from Absalom. We must leave immediately, or he will move quickly to overtake us and bring ruin on us and put the city to the sword.” To me, as a parent, it is so sad to note that King David got to run for his life from his own son, Absalom.
