Day 161 - God is Good, All Good Comes from God

Read: Psalm 119:169-176; Proverbs 3:33-35; James 1; Judges 19-20

James 1: 17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

Proverbs 3:33 The LORD’s curse is on the house of the wicked, but he blesses the home of the righteous.
34 He mocks proud mockers but shows favor to the humble and oppressed.
35 The wise inherit honor, but fools get only shame.

Psalms 119:175 Let me live that I may praise you, and may your laws sustain me.

From the series of reading the passages above, we truly can take comfort that good will always triumph. And the beauty of it all is that the good and favour that we experience are all from our loving Heavenly Father. We hear people said, "Good luck". Is there such a thing called "luck"? People do not recognise that God is the One who showers blessings, shows favour and even grants honour upon them. They thought they were lucky. But, from James 1:17, it is so clearly stated that EVERY good and perfect gift is from the Heavenly Father, the Creator of all we have on this earth (Read Genesis 1). Let us recognise this and be like what the Psalmist said, "Let me live that I may praise you!" God is good at the time. Day 69: Psalm 49, Proverbs 25:4-6, 1 Corinthians 5, Genesis 49-50 Do Our Utmost For His Highest Joseph said to them, “Do not be afraid, for am I in the place of God? But as for you, you meant evil against me; but  God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it  is this day, to save many people alive. We may go around feeling very miserable, angry and unproductive. Day 187 - Have Fear of God Read: Psalm 145; Proverbs 6:28-31; Revelation 6; 2 Samuel 15-16 2 Samuel 15 & 16 15:13 A messenger came and told David, “The hearts of the people of Israel are with Absalom.”14 Then David said to all his officials who were with him in Jerusalem, “Come! We must flee, or none of us will escape from Absalom. We must leave immediately, or he will move quickly to overtake us and bring ruin on us and put the city to the sword.” To me, as a parent, it is so sad to note that King David got to run for his life from his own son, Absalom. His own son schemed for 40 years (15:7) to topple his own father - could you believe that?
