Day 3: Psalm 133, Proverbs 18:22-24, John 4, Daniel 1,2
Purpose In Our Heart
Some decisions need to be made from the very onset. Imagine an emergency landing - if the policy of the airline company has NOT been determined, the crew will be at a lost as to who will be sent for landing first. If the policy has been clear and been taught properly to all the crews that the elderly and the children must be given priority, the process will definitely be smoother. In the Old Testament, Daniel had done that. He purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself from the very beginning (Daniel 1:8). Hence, learning from this, it is good at the beginning of the year that we resolve and make some decisions in areas of our lives to give priority to God and family. Examples of decision for consideration can be, "No Bible,no Breakfast" or "No Handphone During Meals With Family". Theodore Roosevelt said, “In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing. The worst thing you can do is nothing."
