Day 12: Psalm 142, Proverbs 19:25-27, John 13, Hosea 5-6

Humble Ourselves
Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come from God and was going to God, rose from supper and laid aside His garments, took a towel and girded Himself. (John 13:3-4, NKJV)

I am sure we have heard people say that humility is a strange thing; the minute you think you have gotten it, you have lost it. Humility is a rare commodity but a very much needed character for one to possess. The question is how do we possess such quality? The answer is in today's verse where we learn from Jesus on how He humbled Himself to wash His disciples' feet. He could do so because He knew that He had been given all things by His Father and that He had come from God and was going to God. Generally, Christians should be humble because we know we are the princes and princesses of the King of kings and the Lord of lords. Knowing our "royal's status", there is no problem for us to be humble. Mother Teresa said, "If you are humble nothing will touch you; neither praise nor disgrace for you know what you are". https://twitter.com/EstherOngHC (please click to view a visual)
