The children of Israel were able to glance into the past and remember their great escape from the Egyptians. Knowing God 's past mercies allowed them to praise God and to look forward to His continuing presence. What about you? Knowing that God has been with you in the past will give you the assurance that He will walk with you in the present and accompany you in the future. Believe that He will continue to act on your behalf. This morning thank Him for what He has done and look forward for what He will do. So, "sing to the Lord, for He has triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider .... has He thrown into the sea." (Exodus 15:1)

But as for you, you meant evil against me; but  God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it  is this day, to save many people alive. We may go around feeling very miserable, angry and unproductive. Day 187 - Have Fear of God Read: Psalm 145; Proverbs 6:28-31; Revelation 6; 2 Samuel 15-16 2 Samuel 15 & 16 15:13 A messenger came and told David, “The hearts of the people of Israel are with Absalom.”14 Then David said to all his officials who were with him in Jerusalem, “Come! We must flee, or none of us will escape from Absalom. We must leave immediately, or he will move quickly to overtake us and bring ruin on us and put the city to the sword.” To me, as a parent, it is so sad to note that King David got to run for his life from his own son, Absalom. His own son schemed for 40 years (15:7) to topple his own father - could you believe that?
