Day 153 - Show Our Love to Jesus

Read: Psalm 119:105-112; Proverbs 3:7-10; Hebrews 6; Judges 3-4

Proverbs 3:7-9
Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones. Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.

Hebrews 6:10-12
God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, so that what you hope for may be fully realized. We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.


Christians know the extend of Jesus’ love to us. He loves us until to the extend of laying down His own life for us. Now, from the above passages which spell out one way to show our love for Him. The way is to help His people and continue to help them. The challenge is to continue to show this diligence till the very end. Let us encourage and edify one another to be faithful and be patient to render help and service to His people for His sake and His glory. I believe this is also one way to show our fear of the Lord and the promise is that we will have health and nourishment to our bones. Another way is to honour the Lord with our wealth and this too comes with a promise that He will overflow us and provide for us that our own “barns” will not be able to contain the blessings. Day 187 - Have Fear of God Read: Psalm 145; Proverbs 6:28-31; Revelation 6; 2 Samuel 15-16 2 Samuel 15 & 16 15:13 A messenger came and told David, “The hearts of the people of Israel are with Absalom.”14 Then David said to all his officials who were with him in Jerusalem, “Come! We must flee, or none of us will escape from Absalom. We must leave immediately, or he will move quickly to overtake us and bring ruin on us and put the city to the sword.” To me, as a parent, it is so sad to note that King David got to run for his life from his own son, Absalom. His own son schemed for 40 years (15:7) to topple his own father - could you believe that?
