Day 152 - Be Faithful To God
Read: Psalm 119:97-104; Proverbs 3:4-6; Hebrews 5; Judges 1-2
Judges 2
2 And you shall make no covenant with the inhabitants of this land; you shall tear down their altars.' But you have not obeyed My voice. Why have you done this?10 When all that generation had been gathered to their fathers, another generation arose after them who did not know the Lord nor the work which He had done for Israel.
11 Then the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord, and served the Baals;12 and they forsook the Lord God of their fathers, who had brought them out of the land of Egypt; and they followed other gods from among the gods of the people who were all around them, and they bowed down to them; and they provoked the Lord to anger.

Proverbs 3:3-6
“Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

We hear and even talk about the fact that young people are the hope for our future. It is sad to note in verse 10 that the next generation did not know the Lord nor the work which He had done. Truly this must serve as an alarm bell for us to be diligent to educate, encourage and edify the next generations not only to remember what our dear Lord Jesus has done but to be the ambassador for Christ and the mouth-piece for Him. How we need to invest in the lives of the next generations, fulfilling the great Commission of Christ. How we need to be faithful and to love our Lord and we will win favour and a good name. Dear Lord, help us to trust and love You more and more each day, at least to go to Your House today to bring our sacrifices of praise and thanksgiving to You. Amen. https://twitter.com/EstherOngHC

Day 190 - Enjoy God! Read Psalm 148; Proverbs 7:4-6; Revelation 9; 2 Samuel 21-22 2 Samuel 22 v30 - By God, I can run against a troop and by my God, I can leap over a wall v33 - God is my strength and power! He makes my way perfect! Reading the above verses warmed my heart as I recalled the sweet victory I had as I trusted God when He assured me exactly with the above verses way back in 1994 when I did my Certificate of Legal Practice (CLP). It was the first day of exam and my Quiet Time for that day turned out to be reading the above verses. What a joy! What an assurance! I knew by God and with God, I could leap over CLP examination and would cross over the challenge and would pass to do my chambering. True enough, I passed and started my chambering in 1995. All glory to God! Hence, how important for us to keep reading God's Words as our loving Heavenly Father is so eager to speak and communicate with us. Day 69: Psalm 49, Proverbs 25:4-6, 1 Corinthians 5, Genesis 49-50 Do Our Utmost For His Highest Joseph said to them, “Do not be afraid, for am I in the place of God? We may go around feeling very miserable, angry and unproductive. However, Joseph in the Old Testament did not have such feelings but instead he went about doing his best in whatever tasks given to him, knowing that God is in charge and in control.
