Day 77:Importance of Prayers
Read: Psalm 58,  Proverbs 26:7-9, 1 Corinthians 14, Exodus 17-18
And Moses said to Joshua, “Choose us some men and go out, fight with Amalek. Tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in my hand.” So Joshua did as Moses said to him, and fought with Amalek. And Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill. And so it was, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed; and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. But Moses’ hands became heavy; so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it. And Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.

From today's passage, we can learn a good deal about prayer and intercession. As we send people out, we must have the responsibility to pray and uphold them in prayer just like Moses did. When Moses was tired, Aaron and Hur helped to take a stone to let him sit besides supporting his uplifted hands. This is a united act of prayers. Unity in prayer is important. God will not act unless we pray as God gave dominion over all the work of His hands to Adam who fell to satan's temptation (Genesis 1:26-27, Psalm 8:6). Now satan has his share of dominion and legal right in this world to be the god of this world (2 Corinthians 4:4). Our prayers challenge and reclaim those rights again so that God can legally and justly move in and take away that dominion from the devil. Perhaps, it is a good way to pray and intercede on the first day of the week together as a Body of Christ before church service starts or just gather even one or two in our workplace during lunch time.  Let us pray and intercede like never before. https://twitter.com/EstherOngHC (please click to view a visual)
