Day 75: God Will Fight For Us
Read: Psalm 56, Proverbs 26:1-3, 1 Corinthians 12, Exodus 13-14
And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord , which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.” But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea. And He took off their chariot wheels, so that they drove them with difficulty; and the Egyptians said, “Let us flee from the face of Israel, for the Lord fights for them against the Egyptians.” Thus Israel saw the great work which the Lord had done in Egypt; so the people feared the Lord , and believed the Lord and His servant Moses.
Ex 14:13-14, 16, 25-25, 31 NKJV

Sometimes, we may hear children who are playing together utter such words, "I will call my father, then you will know". Here, in the history of the nation of Israel who were allowed to leave Egypt to offer sacrifices in the wilderness were pursued once again. God was fighting for them - God parted the Red Sea and when the Egyptians were in the middle of it, the waves came back and drowned them. Even the Egyptians themselves recognised that God was fighting for the Israelites. The Israelites themselves too were awed by this miracle and feared and believed the Lord. How we need to be still and let God fight for us - we just need to believe that our God is mighty and powerful. We must not have an iota of doubt about it!
