I remember very clearly that I was so excited when I conceived my firstborn. The very 1st thing that concerned me was to ask God what name should I give him. My husband and I decided to go to Frasers Hill for retreat to hear God as to what name to give to our firstborn. Name is truly important. We are taught to pray "Hallowed be Thy Name" in the Lord's prayers. In Numbers 6:27, after the blessings, God told Aaron that they shall put His Name upon the children of Israel; and He would  bless them. In Psalm 44:5, it was through God's  Name the psalmist said those who rose up against them were treaded. When our beloved Jesus prayed "Father, glorify Thy Name" in John 12:28, God's voice IMMEDIATELY came from heaven.  Trust nothing but His Name, go no where but to run to His Name! We may go around feeling very miserable, angry and unproductive. Day 187 - Have Fear of God Read: Psalm 145; Proverbs 6:28-31; Revelation 6; 2 Samuel 15-16 2 Samuel 15 & 16 15:13 A messenger came and told David, “The hearts of the people of Israel are with Absalom.”14 Then David said to all his officials who were with him in Jerusalem, “Come! We must flee, or none of us will escape from Absalom. We must leave immediately, or he will move quickly to overtake us and bring ruin on us and put the city to the sword.” To me, as a parent, it is so sad to note that King David got to run for his life from his own son, Absalom. His own son schemed for 40 years (15:7) to topple his own father - could you believe that?
