Day 158 - How To Have Safety & Sleep
Read: Psalm 119:145-152; Proverbs 3:21-26; Hebrews 11; Judges 13-14
Proverbs 3:21-26
21 My son, do not let wisdom and understanding out of your sight, preserve sound judgment and discretion;
22 they will be life for you, an ornament to grace your neck.
23 Then you will go on your way in safety, and your foot will not stumble.
24 When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.
25 Have no fear of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked,
26 for the LORD will be at your side and will keep your foot from being snared.
How important that we embrace wisdom which means we meditate and understand God's Words.Then, it will be such that we will have life, grace, safety, our sleep will be sweet and no sudden disaster or stumbling or be snared by others. Most of all, the Lord will be AT OUR SIDE. O! How important then that we run to God to read His Words and soak ourselves in His presence in prayers and meditation of HIs Words. No wonder too that James, the brother of Jesus exalted his readers in James 4:7-8, "Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you." With this festive season of Chinese New Year, we long to have safety as we travel and sleep after a whole day of travelling. God's Words here offer a solution. Let us just obey! https://twitter.com/EstherOngHC #devotion #safety #sleep #CNYBlessings
