Day 135 - God Enables Us
Read: Psalm 113; Proverbs 1:1-3; 1 Tim 1; Deuteronomy 23-24

1 Timothy 1
12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has enabled me, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry,13 although I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an insolent man; but I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.14 And the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant, with faith and love which are in Christ Jesus.15 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.

Apostle Paul recognised that it is God Who enables him to be who he is - enabled him to be faithful so that he needs to continually rely on God. Paul recognised too that he was the worst sinner, hence humbling himself before God. With this perspective, He was eternally grateful and hence when he served God, it was all exuberated from his heart of gratefulness. Let us therefore, keep this perspective. That we are sinners saved by grace and that we are to serve God as we are eternally grateful to HIm, the King of kings and Lord of lords who forever taking care of us and giving us nothing but the best. Hence, it would be foolish to let go of HIm. Abide in Him, make Him your dwelling place (Psalm 91:1) https://twitter.com/EstherOngHC #GodEnables #grateful #grace #devotion #serveGod #AbideInHim
