Day 130 - What A Glorious Hope
Read: Psalm 108; Proverbs 31:16-18; 1 Thessalonians 4; Deuteronomy 13-14
1 Thessalonians 4
15 According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord,w will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep.x 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven,y with a loud command, with the voice of the archangels and with the trumpet call of God,a and the dead in Christ will rise first.b 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lorde forever. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.
What an encouragement to know that we have a better hope and we SHALL meet our dear Lord Jesus face to face. We shall be caught up together with the saints of old to meet our Jesus! Henceforth, whatever that is happening in this world, it should not shock us as believers as we DO KNOW the end that ALL WILL BE WELL as we abide in Jesus! However, we still need to KNOW the SIGN of His coming. In fact, the sun and the moon are created by God not only to mark the seasons for us but also to serve as SIGNS for us to get ready as seen in Genesis 1:4, "God said, "Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be FOR SIGNS and seasons, and for days and years”. Start to read Revelation to know the sign of His coming and get ready. It is only stated in Revelation that those who read Revelation are blessed. Revelation 1:3.
