Day 22: Be Silent Before God

“Judge  not, that you be not judged.  For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.  And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye?  Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye?  Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye. “Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.

It is so easy to pass comments of people to others. It is so easy to just mention that someone has failed or neglected to do this or that. But, today Jesus exhorted us to look within us and check ourselves first. We are to conduct a self-examination first. This is so true. King David prayed in Psalm 26:2, "Examine me, O Lord , and prove me; Try my mind and my heart" and in Psalm 139:23-24, "Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; And see if there  is  any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting." Today, as we go to church, let us just be silent before God and let Him reveal to us our innermost parts and pray that we will be willing to surrender all to Him and let Him guide us in the way everlasting. Amen! https://twitter.com/EstherOngHC (please click to view a visual)
