Rev 2:12 & 17  say "To the angel of the church in Pergamos write ... to him that over comes ... I will also give a white stone." In ancient Pergamos, when 2 friends were parting, they would take a white stone and break it into two. Each would write his name on 1 half and would exchange it and keep it with them wherever they went. Jesus has gone back to the Father and He lives to make intercession for us (Hebrews 7:25). Now it is our job to take His name with us wherever we go. Ask God to give us the opportunity, wisdom and boldness to spread His name. We do not have to deliver a sermon or make a speech - just tell others about Him! Let us pray for one another to have the opportunity to do so today.

We may go around feeling very miserable, angry and unproductive. We must flee, or none of us will escape from Absalom. We must leave immediately, or he will move quickly to overtake us and bring ruin on us and put the city to the sword.” To me, as a parent, it is so sad to note that King David got to run for his life from his own son, Absalom.
