Day 87: Keep Growing!

Read: Psalm 68, Proverbs 27:10-12, 2 Corinthians 8, Exodus 37-38
2 Corinthians 8:7
7 But as you abound in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all diligence, and in your love for us—see that you abound in this grace also.

How important as we abound in everything, the 6 areas that God specifically mentions are in the areas of faith, speech, knowledge, diligence, love and grace. Faith is our trust in God. How we need to increase our level of faith in God. We need to also work on our speech - to be ready in and out of season. Knowledge is our reading and meditating of God's Words. Further, never be lazy but be hardworking or be diligent. Let us take heed that in Matthew 25:26, in the parable of the talents, God has mentioned laziness together with wickedness. This shows a glimpse of how God views laziness. Last but not least, we should show love and grace to others in an increasing measure from day to day.

Day 69: Psalm 49, Proverbs 25:4-6, 1 Corinthians 5, Genesis 49-50 Do Our Utmost For His Highest Joseph said to them, “Do not be afraid, for am I in the place of God? But as for you, you meant evil against me; but  God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it  is this day, to save many people alive. Now therefore, do not be afraid; I will provide for you and your little ones.” And he comforted them and spoke kindly to them. We may go around feeling very miserable, angry and unproductive. However, Joseph in the Old Testament did not have such feelings but instead he went about doing his best in whatever tasks given to him, knowing that God is in charge and in control. Day 187 - Have Fear of God Read: Psalm 145; Proverbs 6:28-31; Revelation 6; 2 Samuel 15-16 2 Samuel 15 & 16 15:13 A messenger came and told David, “The hearts of the people of Israel are with Absalom.”14 Then David said to all his officials who were with him in Jerusalem, “Come! We must flee, or none of us will escape from Absalom. We must leave immediately, or he will move quickly to overtake us and bring ruin on us and put the city to the sword.” To me, as a parent, it is so sad to note that King David got to run for his life from his own son, Absalom. His own son schemed for 40 years (15:7) to topple his own father - could you believe that?
